Sustainable development and the concept of charitable donations in large scale country building efforts especially in most of the developing world are two parallel lines which in my opinion can never meet. Aids, donations and ODAs are primarily based on the benevolence of the donors, (which will explain to a large extent the primary reasons why they are called so) and is mostly voluntarily. That being the case, why is there such a dependence on this form of intervention as the best solution to the eradication of poverty. I mean, how many beggars became millionaires from begging?
